Platform

One panel for
game, VM, and web.

Run the stack you already use from a single interface.

Measured performance

Higher throughput and lower latency than Pterodactyl in our weekly load tests (run 26 Oct 2026, 12:23 UTC).

Plugin system

Add features with plugins. Install from the MythicalSystems marketplace or write your own with the SDK.

Security basics in core

TLS 1.3, encrypted secrets, 2FA, and audit logs are included in the core panel.

Every feature, taken from the code, is listed in the docs: read the feature list.

Usage

Running on real
installs.

Why more memory?

FeatherPanel runs a larger stack

In the latest run FeatherPanel peaked at 196 MiB and Pterodactyl at 143 MiB. FeatherPanel also runs a Next.js UI, Redis queues, a Rust async runner, the Web IDE, and Proxmox VM hosting next to game hosting, and that is where the extra memory goes. The same run measured higher throughput and lower latency than Pterodactyl.

Project history

  • MythicalNodes A Hosting Company

It started as a business. NaysKutzu founded MythicalNodes as a game server hosting company and quickly hit the same broken tooling every small host struggles with.

  • Forking ShadowsDash

The team forked ShadowsDash and started fixing what hurt day to day: slower UX, extra bloat, weak performance.

  • MythicalDash

The fork became MythicalDash. Hosts used it in production and it stuck around long enough to prove the idea.

  • Core Rewrite Begins

MythicalDash hit architecture limits. Work started on a rewrite and on MythicalCore, a small framework for the new panel.

  • FeatherPanel

On MythicalCore, the project became FeatherPanel: one panel for game servers, VMs, and web hosting.

  • First Stable Release

FeatherPanel v1.0 shipped with game server management, plugins, and the current UI.

  • Game, VPS, and web

Proxmox virtualization and FeatherQuilld web hosting are available alongside game hosting in one panel.

FAQ

Common
questions.

Still need help?Join our Discordor read the docs.

What is FeatherPanel?

FeatherPanel is an open-source panel for game servers, Proxmox VMs, and web hosting. You can self-host it for free under AGPL-3.0.

Does FeatherPanel support Proxmox?

Yes. It talks to your Proxmox nodes so you can start, stop, snapshot, and configure VMs and containers from the panel.

Can I manage websites with FeatherPanel?

Yes. Web hosting runs through FeatherQuilld nodes: sites, domains, SSL, databases, and files in the same UI as your game servers and VMs.

Which game servers are supported?

Minecraft (Java and Bedrock), Rust, and more via the spell/egg system. Browse community eggs at eggs.mythicalsystems.org, or import your own templates.

Is FeatherPanel free?

Self-hosted FeatherPanel is free under AGPL-3.0 with no seat limits, no server caps, and full feature access. Cloud is optional: we host the panel on MythicalSystems hardware and you bring your nodes.

Can I migrate from Pterodactyl?

Enterprise plans include Pterodactyl addon portability. We also publish migration docs for the common paths.

What's the difference between Cloud and self-hosted?

Self-hosted means you run the panel on your own machines. Cloud means MythicalSystems hosts the panel on our hardware; you attach your own nodes. You get updates, monitoring, and a 99.9% uptime SLA.

Where do I get plugins and themes?

Browse FeatherPanel addons on the MythicalSystems marketplace. You can also build your own with the SDK.

How do I get support?

Discord for community help. Report bugs on the FeatherPanel issue form. Suggestions go to the suggestions page. Billing, cloud, and other account tickets go to my.mythicalsystems.org. Enterprise sales: [email protected].

Can I help translate FeatherPanel?

Yes. Contribute translations at translate.mythicalsystems.org.
